About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to join our Middle Office Client Onboarding Team at BNY Mellon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering and implementing complex global operating models in a multi-phased manner, through the provision of project management and business analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Delivery: Deliver and implement complex global operating models in a multi-phased manner, through the provision of project management and business analysis.
  2. Analytical Expertise: Provide analytical expertise and problem-solving in support of project objectives and timelines.
  3. Information Gathering: Gather and analyze information to assist in development of recommendations to address Client and Business objectives.
  4. Goal Management: Identify and manage goals, risks, issues, and resources ensuring QA process is applied throughout each project/service lifecycle.
  5. Project Facilitation: Facilitate project meetings and workshops with External Clients and Internal Stakeholders.
  6. Reporting: Produce both informational and decision-seeking reports, analyses, and/or presents outputs of the meetings to relevant parties for sign off.
  7. Project Monitoring: Monitor project process, risks, and issues through weekly reports, CAIR log, and project plans.
  8. Issue Escalation: Escalate issues that will significantly impact project delivery to relevant parties.
  9. Post-Implementation Review: Manage project post-implementation reviews.
  10. Communication: Communicate effectively and frequently with Project Initiators, Technology, Operations, and/or the Client.
  11. Project Leadership: Deliver complex internal and external projects or parts of larger projects.
  12. Team Leadership: Provide clear direction and leadership to staff managed during a project.
  13. Project Governance: Lead allocated projects and programs to ensure successful delivery and implementation within deadlines.
  14. Resource Management: Organize resources for project workshops/support with relevant managers.
  15. Quality Control: Ensure quality controls are put in place in project plans.
  16. Project Benefits: Ensure project deliverables can achieve the benefits defined in the Business case.
  17. Project Commitments: Ensure all project commitments are met.
  18. Progress Monitoring: Monitor and report on progress of projects.
  19. Risk Management: Evaluate potential risks and issues and determines appropriate actions/plans to mitigate them.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Significant Governance, Project Management experience or experience within one or more of the asset servicing functions is preferred.
  2. Knowledge: Sound knowledge of Project Management and Business Analysis.
  3. Technical Skills: Competent with all aspects of Microsoft Office and MS Project.
  4. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  5. Preferred Skills: Middle Office functional and product knowledge preferred: industry OMS flows, trade capture processes, IBOR accounting, performance and data management.
  6. Problem-Solving: Problem solver with sound prioritization & time management skills.
  7. Software Skills: Ability to use Outlook, Word, Excel for Project Management purposes.
