Secure Embedded Systems Software Engineer Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team in Cambridge, where you will contribute to the development and enhancement of cutting-edge security technologies. This is an exciting opportunity for those looking to take their skills to the next level in a dynamic and innovative environment.

You will work closely with a talented team of experts, including electronics design engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, physicists, and more. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in developing embedded systems using C/C++ programming languages and a strong understanding of security principles and practices.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on bespoke projects for clients, develop new versions of existing technology, and improve current ones. You will also contribute to the design and implementation of secure solutions to meet client requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. They will also be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in cybersecurity and embedded systems.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance cutting-edge security technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver bespoke projects
  • Design and implement secure solutions to meet client requirements
  • Work closely with experts in electronics design, software engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, and more
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in cybersecurity and embedded systems

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience in developing embedded systems using C/C++
  • Strong understanding of security principles and practices
  • Experience in telecommunications, aerospace, scientific, radar, radio, or other complex technologies involving device communication (desirable)
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
