About the RoleThis senior financial reporting position oversees the coordination and accuracy of internal financial reporting during budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will contribute to external reporting at interim and year-end, manage net debt analysis, key financial disclosures, and technical accounting matters.
The successful candidate will possess managerial authority for day-to-day processes in impacted financial reporting areas, ensuring all financial reporting metrics and management accounts meet high standards. They will also lead a team, delegating responsibilities, reviewing forecasts and budgeted metrics, and facilitating regular feedback and performance discussions.
Responsibilities include coordinating with the Performance Reporting team, Financial Reporting manager, and Head of Financial Reporting to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting of transactions and structural changes. Additionally, the candidate will lead actuals, forecast, and Budget reporting of Net Debt, analyzing performance against plans and targets, identifying risks and opportunities.
The role involves maintaining the Group Management Accounts from a financial reporting perspective, working with the Performance Reporting team, and producing the Group Viability Statement annually and the Group Going Concern Assessment bi-annually. The candidate will field and respond to forecasting and budget-related queries from other Group Functions and external parties.
The ideal candidate will have joint advisory authority to the Finance Systems team to anticipate, draft, test, and implement changes to the Group consolidation system (HFM) due to changes in accounting standards and continuous improvement initiatives. They will contribute to the Group financial statements, preparing and reviewing note disclosures for the Annual Report and interim and year-end results announcements.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in financial consolidation and reporting roles in large multinational companies. The candidate should have knowledge of complex commercial and technical accounting issues and good understanding of IFRS. Familiarity with HFM financial consolidation systems is essential.
