About the Role

A leading Social Housing Provider in the East Midlands seeks a skilled Repairs Supervisor to oversee the delivery of high-quality maintenance across multiple sites. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join their team and drive commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop specifications, repair orders, and contract documents for reactive works, ensuring timely, budget-friendly delivery with exceptional results.
  2. Maintain effective relationships with tenants and leaseholders by engaging in resident forums and scrutiny activities.
Commercial Focus

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing resources efficiently, maintaining tools, and negotiating material requests within budget.

  1. Oversight of the supply chain for planned maintenance, including materials, plant, and machinery.
  2. Closely monitoring team and individual performance, addressing underperformance through relevant policies and procedures.
  3. Taking ownership of project or contract budgets, ensuring tight control over expenses.
Leadership Expectations

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, promoting a culture of engagement and clear performance-based outcomes among their team.

  1. Driving a trust-based culture, motivating and coaching staff towards exceptional performance.
  2. Promoting the organisation as a partner, employer, and service provider of choice externally.
  3. Leading people management processes throughout the employee lifecycle.
  4. Fostering positive consultation with collective representatives to ensure employee relations support service provision.
  5. Demonstrating ability to work on diverse responsive maintenance systems.
  6. Maintenance sector experience, supervising a selection of operatives, is essential.
