Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our team at SWG in Hull. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing a varied client portfolio, preparing and reviewing statutory and management accounts, and providing CFO and business advisory support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a diverse range of clients, providing expert financial guidance and support.
  2. Prepare and review financial accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Develop and implement financial plans, strategies, and policies to drive business growth and success.
  4. Lead and motivate a team of finance professionals, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues, ensuring excellent communication and customer service.
  6. Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders to drive commercial activities and achieve business objectives.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest financial software and technologies, ensuring the effective use of tools such as Xero, Dext, and Sage.

Requirements:

  1. Fully qualified ACCA/ACA accountant with a strong technical background.
  2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in practice or a similar industry.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  4. Commercially astute, with a strong understanding of financial management and business operations.
