Artistic Visualiser

We're Climax Studios, a pioneering force in independent games development. As an experienced Environmental Artist, you'll be joining our team of visionaries who push the boundaries of artistic visuals.

This is a unique opportunity to bring your creativity and technical expertise to the forefront of game development. You'll be responsible for conceiving, creating, and contributing to innovative environments that captivate audiences worldwide.

• Lead the creation of entire levels, guiding them through from concept to high-quality beta finishes.
• Collaborate with the team to visualise environments using 2D and/or 3D methods.
• Create and present creative, stylised artworks that inspire and engage.
• Engage in constructive critique and iteration with the team.
• Embody established art styles and recreate them accurately.
• Design optimised props and LODs to enhance performance.
• Develop and maintain expertise in platform technology, asset discipline, and pipeline processes.

• A minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar role, preferably within the games industry.
• Prior experience creating realistic style props and environments.
• Creative and self-motivated individual with a passion for artistic visuals.
• Strong, versatile modelling skills, including proficiency with Maya.
• Extensive experience using Unreal 4/5 and Substance.
• Proficiency with ZBrush and prior experience with setting up LODs.
• Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
• An artistic education to at least graduate level, accompanied by a strong portfolio.
