About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Engineer to join our team at Opencast Software Europe Ltd. As a key member of our IT function, you will play a pivotal role in building and shaping our internal IT operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality support to our teams, both remotely and in-person, within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Work with various teams to identify pain points and recommend improvements to enhance the end-user experience.
  • Troubleshoot complex IT issues, both hardware and software, up to the third line.
  • Perform root cause analysis to prevent issues from happening again.
  • Manage escalation to third-party suppliers/partners for support when required.
  • Maintain system security through patching and system hardening.
  • Develop technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support and mentor other members of your team.
Requirements
  • Significant experience working within a similar role.
  • Good understanding of desktop operating systems, including macOS and Windows.
  • Microsoft 365 suite of products, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Server operating systems, including exposure to Linux environments.
  • Computer hardware, with the ability to carry out repairs when required.
  • Network administration and troubleshooting, including firewall management.
  • Cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
  • System monitoring tools.
  • Asset management.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience using and administering Atlassian suite of products, including Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience administering Salesforce.
  • Experience with ERP solutions, including Workday.
  • Experience using MDM/RMM tools, including Jamf for managing Mac estates.
  • A strong understanding of cyber security principles and best practices.
