Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fabrication Maintenance Specialist to join our team at DFS Furniture PLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing sites by carrying out proactive maintenance tasks, reducing downtime, and improving machine efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out proactive planned maintenance tasks without supervision to minimize machine and equipment downtime.
  • Complete reactive maintenance tasks without supervision, ensuring all tasks are risk assessed through site-specific or dynamic assessments.
  • Conduct mechanical repair and/or replacement of equipment, implementing minor or small electrical installation works without supervision.
  • Administer work permits and monitor 3rd party contractors, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy at all times, adhering to company standards and regulations.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in a maintenance role, with a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical and minimum level 2 in the opposite discipline - HND preferred in the main discipline.
  • Must hold C&G Initial and periodic electrical inspection and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
