We are seeking an experienced Site Contracts Manager to join our global project engineering client. The successful candidate will manage and execute engineering projects from concept through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Organise kick-off meetings for new project assignments with the sales team.
- Assess contracts and project requirements for materials, labour, plant hire, tools, and consumables.
- Liaise with the design team for drawings, P&IDs, and code standards and specifications related to the project/contract.
- Organise and plan scheduled labour for each contract and project.
- Deal with sub-contract companies within the supply chain to support projects and contracts.
- Recruit sub-contract labour to assist projects during peak times.
- Ensure all tradesmen and contractors are competent for the task at hand and check they hold a valid certificate.
- Complete regular method statements and risk assessments for projects.
- Oversee site works projects from start to completion, ensuring work is carried out safely at all times.
- Review and sign off timesheets for staff, sub-contractors, and supply chain invoices.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (not necessary).
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering/fabrication, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors.
- Good knowledge and experience of working on construction engineering sites.
- Good use of computer - Microsoft Word/Excel/Project and Outlook.
- Ideally SMSTS or IOSH/NEBOSH.
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed, and the ability to work flexible hours based on project demands.
