Capital Fundraising Manager

Merrifield Consultants is partnering with Young Epilepsy to find a Capital Appeals Manager to lead a high-profile project raising £2m in voluntary donations for a refurbishment of St Piers College, an independent special school for children and young adults with complex needs and disabilities.
About the RoleThis is a 2-year fixed-term contract with the potential to become permanent. The successful candidate will work from home and on-site in Lingfield, Surrey, with occasional travel across the southeast and London.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and engage with local philanthropic communities and develop lasting relationships with local partners to secure a sustainable future for the education provision at St Piers.
- Represent St Piers to local partners, supporters, and funders to promote the impact of the work and articulate the ambition for the future of the college and its students.
- Manage a schedule of applications to Trusts, Foundations, and Grant-making bodies to achieve agreed income targets.
- Recruit and develop local supporters to maximize income and build lasting relationships for Young Epilepsy and St Piers.
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of research, contacts, and relationships on the CRM database (Beacon).
- A track record of securing significant funds from HNW individuals and grant-making organizations.
- Experience of successfully delivering against financial targets within specified deadlines.
