About the Role:
Our client, a leading international freight forwarding company, is seeking a dedicated Freight Sales Executive to manage the South East region of England. This role necessitates regular travel throughout the area, thus a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle are essential. Occasional visits to the office in Basildon will be required.
Compensation Package:
- Basic salary of up to £40,000
- 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (increases up to a maximum of 5 additional days)
- Car allowance of £5,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a strong focus and determination to meet sales targets.
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities while thoroughly profiling new businesses to understand how we can assist with freight and customs needs.
- Represent the organization positively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactively explore new business avenues.
- Maintain and manage the CRM system, ensuring consistent communication with existing clients and following up with potential customers.
- Exhibit a proven history of developing and enhancing client portfolios.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and overseas agents.
- Showcase technical selling abilities and comprehensive product knowledge.
- Display exceptional communication skills, including the capacity to influence and negotiate effectively.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of sales experience within the freight sector.
- Knowledge and experience in Import/Export multi-modal operations.
- High-quality communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, along with general computer literacy.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload with meticulous attention to detail.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility in working hours, including the option to work from home.
- Must possess the right to work in the UK.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
