Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in a Secondary school in the Newham area. This is a long-term supply opportunity starting in September 2024.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver engaging lessons and activities that cater to diverse student needs.
  • Provide individualized support to students, fostering their academic and personal growth through targeted interventions.
  • Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being.
  • Contribute to assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to teachers to inform instruction.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 6 months of experience as a Teaching Assistant in a UK-based educational setting is essential.
  • A Level 3 qualification is mandatory.
  • Verifiable references from previous employers or placements are required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with teachers and students.
  • A passion for education and supporting the learning journey of students is crucial.
  • A SEN qualification and experience would be highly desirable.
