Job Title: Senior Building Management Systems Engineer

Our client is a leading provider of intelligent building control system solutions, seeking a bright and proactive Senior BMS Engineer to join their projects department.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and engineering projects in line with issued project information, ensuring that the design meets the project specification and maintains the required profit margins.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and engineer projects in line with issued project information
  • Ensure that the design meets the project specification and maintains the required profit margins
  • Coordinate the collation of electrical installation files and commissioning files
  • Report to the department head any shortfalls within the project costing that does not line up with the specification
  • Raise monthly applications and final accounts
  • Coordinate site works with our own commissioning and electrical labour
  • Carry out risk assessments and prepare method statements
  • Generate a Description of Operation for inclusion within the Operation & Maintenance Manuals
  • Procure all control devices and issue orders for specialist devices
  • Check invoices for correct value and discount levels
  • Coordinate with the Software Dept for the planned generation of software programs
  • Use personal experience to assist site and office colleagues on problems that may occur
  • Help train and develop other engineers where needed
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a BMS role, with previous project management experience desirable but not essential.
