Job Description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Compliance and Verification Engineer to join our client's team in Chelmsford. As a key member of the software development team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance and maintaining the highest standards across a range of systems for space applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the creation of embedded software and FPGA development
- Oversee verification and release processes in line with ECSS standards and requirements
- Ensure correct processes are followed throughout the life cycle of the product
- Ensure that all documentation, software and FPGA code meets standards and compliance requirements
- Carry out reviews of processes including source code reviews
- Generate test plans and procedures
- Deliver testing and verification of FPGA and software development
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience of high reliability coding standards (eg. MISRA)
- Knowledge of Space, Aerospace, or Defence development standards
- Experience of ensuring compliance across the software development life cycle
- Experience verifying high reliability software
- Ability to develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
- Experience with version control and issue tracking software (eg. Git / Jira)
- Experience programming in C, and with embedded bare-metal
- Experience developing automated test scrips (ideally with Python)
