Job Summary



We are seeking an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join our team at Thames Water. This is a challenging and rewarding role that will see you play a key part in ensuring the efficient management of our corporation tax strategy.



As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the completion and review of tax returns, as well as dealing with any queries that may arise from HMRC. You will also be the key point of contact for all corporation tax matters, working closely with other teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.



In addition to your technical expertise, you will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee the completion and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
  • Deal with HMRC queries and correspondence, ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Provide tax advice and guidance to colleagues and other stakeholders, ensuring that all tax-related matters are managed effectively.
  • Liaise with other teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to ensure the efficient management of our corporation tax obligations.
  • Monitor and report on key tax metrics, ensuring that all tax-related performance indicators are met.
