Contract Wintel Engineer – Data Centre Migration

This major financial services organisation requires a skilled professional to migrate their data centres into a managed service provision.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience with big data and large business structures, supporting the project team to deliver the migration into managed service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Solid technical expertise in Windows OS and execution of project activities, including configuration of Windows O/S on VMs created as part of Apps Migration.
  • Support with Active Directory migration and decommissioning of on-premise servers.
  • Migration of Windows Server 2016 to 2019/22.

Key Requirements:

  • Knowledge of clustering, IIS, Exchange and SQL.
  • Ability to work hybrid until familiar with the project team and current data centre environment.

Benefits and Salary:

Estimated salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum. Benefits include a flexible working arrangement with 90% remote work possible after an initial period.
