Nursery Practitioner Job Description

Teaching Personnel is seeking a skilled Nursery Practitioner to join their team in York, North Yorkshire. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to make a real difference in the lives of young children.

About the Opportunity:

  • You will have the opportunity to work in a supportive team environment, creating a nurturing atmosphere for children to grow and develop.
  • As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging activities, ensuring children's physical, emotional, and cognitive needs are met.
  • You will maintain strong relationships with children and their families, providing regular updates on progress and achievements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement EYFS-aligned activities, including indoor and outdoor play.
  2. Support children's development, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  3. Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and carers to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare.

Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or an equivalent qualification.
  • Prior experience in a nursery or early years setting is highly desirable.
  • A caring and enthusiastic attitude, with a genuine passion for early childhood education.

Salary Information:

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £23,000 - £26,000 per annum, depending on experience.
