About the Role:
  • Lead a team of engineers in ensuring efficient plant operations, minimizing downtime, and maximizing output.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance plans, schedules, and procedures to optimize equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders to share best practices, knowledge, and expertise.
  • Analyse data and identify areas for improvement, implementing changes to increase productivity and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  1. Spend 80% of time on-site, working hands-on with the team to ensure smooth operations.
  2. React quickly and safely to plant breakdowns, applying Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodology to prevent reoccurrence.
  3. Work closely with other departments to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and accurate record-keeping.
  4. Develop and update continuous improvement processes, ensuring effective deployment across the team.
  5. Provide regular management reports on maintenance activities and progress.
Requirements:
  • Qualified engineer with strong electrical & PLC bias and good mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics & pneumatics.
  • Proven experience leading a team of shift engineers, demonstrating excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • A clear understanding of Continuous Improvement (CI) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), with a history of successful implementation.
  • Ability to identify long-term solutions to plant issues and provide expert troubleshooting services.
  • Proficient in maintaining and developing maintenance systems, comfortable with data analysis and interpretation.
