Fund Operations Management Director

About this role

This position plays a crucial part in supporting the front office team and external fund boards to ensure seamless deal execution. Responsibilities include coordinating Fund Boards of Directors and various internal and external stakeholders, as well as managing the intricacies of the transaction execution process.

This role requires a strong balance between commercial objectives and risk management. You will be responsible for managing deal execution for Operations across its various funds, from inception through to funding, and negotiating agreements with banking, administrators, and other counterparties.

Key responsibilities include:

Transaction Support

  1. Managing complex documentation and completion, including recap and amendment processes across all private investment funds;
  2. Providing comprehensive support to the Investment team for new deals, refinancing, restructures, and exits;
  3. Organizing and attending Fund Boards, providing transaction assistance, and resolving open matters;
  4. Coordinating with administrators to ensure banking facilities are available and ready for use;
  5. Liaising with internal and external teams to ensure the initial deal structure is set up, documented, and handed over successfully;
  6. Managing funds flow, funding, and initial hedging arrangements;
  7. Ensuring fund controllers receive full support and are apprised on current transaction status.

Fund Life Cycle Matters

  1. Working on fund liquidations and terminations;
  2. Managing deal mechanics, structure, and complexities;
  3. LP Partner Transfers;

Financing, Regulatory, and Tax Compliance

  1. Responsibility for asset-level entity and banking arrangements;
  2. Fund structure compliance and adherence;
  3. Working closely with the ICG tax team to ensure treatment of investment items and ongoing compliance.

Process Definition and Scalable Function

  1. Championing process enhancement and ensuring adequate process documentation;
  2. Other ad hoc projects to support team objectives.

Key Requirements

  • Luxembourg private M&A market experience, with US experience a plus;
  • Mid/Intermediate level experience in Private Equity/Asset Management;
  • Bachelor's Degree;
  • Tax/Accounting qualifications a strong plus;
  • European languages a strong plus.
