Job Title: Domestic Abuse Support Specialist

Housing and Support Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Domestic Abuse Support Specialist to join their team in Leicester. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to women and children affected by domestic abuse.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support and assistance to women and children experiencing domestic abuse
  • Develop and implement support strategies to meet the needs of women and children affected by domestic abuse
  • Work with women to identify their support needs and incorporate these into their Individual Support Plans
  • Provide safety planning and undertake regular risk and needs assessments
  • Develop and deliver a range of support services to women and their children

Requirements:

  • Good general level of education
  • Good knowledge of domestic abuse issues and the statutory framework
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop good relationships with colleagues, volunteers, outside agencies, and users of the service
  • Ability to speak at least one of the following languages: Urdu, Hindi, Mirpuri, Punjabi, Gujrati, or Bengali

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £12,012.27 per annum (£22,523 per annum FTE), and the work pattern is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
