**Job Title:** Prison Kitchen Supervisor Role

Salary: £26,497.80 per annum + Excellent Corporate Benefits Package

We are seeking a highly organized and skilled Prison Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at HMP Doncaster, a category B local resettlement prison in South Yorkshire.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a team environment and is committed to delivering high-quality food services to residents.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Catering Manager in the delivery of catering services to the establishment and comply with all relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety Regulations, legislation and guidelines.
  • Prepare varied and healthy menus for residents to include special diets, special events and religious events, whilst also keeping abreast of trends and developments in the catering industry such as menus and consumer tastes.
  • Supervise prisoners and ensure a safe and secure working environment during food preparation.
  • Ensure the security and food safety of all foodstuffs, equipment and infrastructure is maintained during delivery, storage and distribution within the kitchen area.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have good interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to think quickly and react to different situations, and experience working in catering within a large operation or similar custodial environment.

A City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ or similar in Food Preparation and Production is desirable, but not essential as we can provide required training.
