As a key member of the Food Merchandising team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of stock through the business. Your primary responsibility will be to optimise stock availability and stockturn through the effective use of auto replenishment and allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximise stock availability and stockturn by leveraging auto replenishment and allocation strategies.
  • Identify slow-selling products and recommend actions to improve stockturn.
  • Coordinate the transfer of stock between stores and distribution centres, ensuring timely delivery and meeting RTV deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date with departmental performance, concession sales, best and worst sellers, and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with the Merchandiser/AM to input markdown and drive sales growth.
  • Work closely with the distribution centre to resolve queries and address any unresolved issues.
  • Chase suppliers for timely delivery of orders and assist with booking in at the distribution centre as needed.
  • Monitor supplier fulfilment rates and highlight any poor performers to the AM.
  • Provide regular analysis to inform the Buyer and Merchandiser of risks and opportunities.

About You

  • You will possess strong retail knowledge and a solid understanding of Merchandising principles.
  • You will be highly organised, proactive, and able to multitask, prioritise, and work to tight deadlines.
  • You will be a problem solver, able to apply different thinking approaches in various situations.
  • You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • You will be a proactive team member, collaborating with the Buying and Merchandising teams.
  • You will be pacey, positive, and flexible, responsive to business needs, and willing to take responsibility for your tasks.
  • You will be analytical and results-driven, able to use data to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • You will be proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office software, with high levels of accuracy.
