Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate high standards of nursing care for patients with cardiac conditions.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
- Supervise and direct more junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Act as a clinical role model, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism within the team.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, including medication management and patient safety protocols.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, working closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of solutions.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, ensuring timely and effective communication with the healthcare team.
- Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Experience working in a Cardiac Unit, ICU, or Medical Ward within an acute hospital setting.
- Knowledge of cardiac conditions, including cardiac ablation, aortic stenosis, CABG, and heart failure.
- Competent in ECG interpretation, IV administration of drugs, CPAP, AIRVO, and PICC line management.
- Essential skills in phlebotomy and cannulation.
- Pleasant and cheerful manner, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
