Buildspace Group is looking for an experienced and skilled Commercial Operations Manager to lead our commercial operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the financial success of our projects.

About the Role:

  • Lead and manage the commercial operations team to achieve financial goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximise returns on projects.
  • Oversee the management of all commercial and financial aspects of projects and contracts.
  • Co-ordinate procurement and cost recovery with the operations teams for FM low value high volume schemes and larger small works projects.
  • Regularly visit sites and liaise with operations teams to ensure all changes and progress are captured and claimed each month.
  • Monitor income and expenditure on contracts, including interim/final applications for payment, final accounts, and payments for late monies.

About You:

  • Minimum 5 years post-qualified experience as a Commercial Operations Manager with Sub-Contractor project experience.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
  • Commercial Fit Out project experience.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the construction process.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
