About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated leader to join our team as a Nursery Deputy Director. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a vital role in shaping the direction of our nursery and ensuring the highest quality care and education for our children.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a nursery setting, with a proven track record of supporting staff and contributing to the overall management of the setting. You will be responsible for supporting the Setting Manager in ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations, including OFSTED requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Setting Manager in the effective planning and delivery of the setting's operational plan.
  • Assist in the recruitment and management of childcare and other staff.
  • Ensure that all staff adhere to setting policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care and education for our children.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff to ensure they are equipped to meet the needs of our children.

Requirements:

  • GCSE level qualifications with passes in four or more subjects, two of which are English and Maths.
  • Childcare qualification to a minimum Level 3 from a recognised awarding scheme.
  • Fully trained in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Fully trained in Child Protection and Safeguarding Children, behaviour management, special educational needs, health and safety, key person, equal opportunities, safer recruitment.
  • Evidence of managerial training, how to manage people, budgets, fiscal, recruitment, and staff development.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
