Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Airwave Support Technician to join our team at the Shared Services Partnership. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Airwave and communication devices to support the operational requirements of the force.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage, program, and repair all operational communication equipment, including Airwave, Covert, Inca, Mobile Phone, and other devices.
  2. Communicate regularly with service providers and suppliers regarding equipment management and Airwave service provision.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective communication and system development.
  4. Monitor and assess coverage-related issues, providing solutions and recommendations.
  5. Advise User Support staff on technology updates and developments.
  6. Provide regular and effective service to meet the needs of the force.
Essential Qualifications and Experience

Educated to QCF Level 3 (2-3 passes) or equivalent work experience.

Proven experience in a radio telecommunications role, including experience with fitting and repairing a range of radio equipment.
