About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Audiology Services Manager to join our team. As an Audiologist, you will undertake hearing assessments of adults of all ages, covering routine aspects of audiometric testing, and conducting hearing aid assessment, fitting, validation, and ongoing support for adults and families.

Job Description

You will be responsible for undertaking hearing assessments of adults of all ages, covering air and bone conduction, tympanometry, and acoustic reflex testing. You will also conduct hearing aid assessment, fitting, validation, and ongoing support for adults and families, using both analogue and DSP instruments according to MSE/department protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake hearing assessment of adults of all ages.
  • Conduct hearing aid assessment, fitting, validation, and ongoing support for adults and families.
  • Take aural impressions on patients of all ages.
  • Undertake hearing aid validation using Real Ear Measurement systems, RECD, and free field testing as appropriate.

Estimated salary: £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements
  • Audiology or BAAT (parts I&II) plus Btec Medical Physics & Physiological Measurement or Dip HE in Audiology or equivalent qualification.
  • Eligible for registration with RCCP.
  • One year undergraduate placement in an Audiology Department as part of the Audiology Degree or one year experience of working in NHS audiology.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate complex clinical information to the hearing impaired, their families, and carers.
  • Ability to use computerised patient management system.
  • Good time management skills, good organisational skills, and good written communication.
  • Theoretical knowledge of digital hearing aid fitting.
