Job Opportunity: Civil Litigation Lawyer

We are working with a reputable Local Authority in the Yorkshire Region to find a Civil Litigation Lawyer to join their department for an initial 3-month period.

The successful candidate must be UK qualified and have upwards of 12 months' experience in:

  1. Civil Litigation matters
  2. Housing disrepair experience is advantageous

Expertise in dealing with a wide range of civil litigation matters including:

  1. Landlord and tenant disputes
  2. Debt recovery
  3. Injunctions

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Preparing all legal documents including agreements, deeds, notices, orders, consents, byelaws, etc.
  2. Advocating on behalf of the local authority
  3. Briefing counsel and instructing experts

You will need to have experience of handling your own legal caseload which will include complex matters.

The Council offers a flexible working environment. Previous civil litigation legal experience in a local authority is essential.

Pay rate is between £40-55 per hour.

The local authority is looking for a candidate to start as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a wide range of civil litigation matters, including landlord and tenant disputes, debt recovery, and injunctions.

The ideal candidate will have experience of handling their own legal caseload, including complex matters, and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

The Council offers a competitive pay rate of £40-55 per hour and a flexible working environment.

The successful candidate will be expected to start as soon as possible.
