MMT Apprentice

The successful candidate will complete a structured development program leading to NVQ Level 3 Manufacturing Engineering and a Higher National Certificate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering through Northern Regional College Ballymena. This is a 4-year program.

Reporting to the Day Lead Technician, the successful candidate will be trained extensively in fully automated production equipment, including electrical and mechanical practices, pneumatics, PLC control, and robotics.

Key Responsibilities

• Trained extensively in fully automated production equipment, including electrical and mechanical practices, pneumatics, PLC control, and robotics.
• Provide technical support to Manufacturing and ensure the optimum performance of equipment and technical issues.
• Trained in providing breakdown and preventative maintenance.
• Contribute to the overall team/departmental strategy.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest innovations and developments.
• Ensure compliance with company and statutory requirements at all times.
• Participate in the day-to-day activities of the team and work effectively as a team member to ensure continuous improvement.
• Meet performance measures and KPIs set for you and your team.
• Communicate effectively with members of your team and other parts of the business.
• Participate in training opportunities.

Requirements

• 4 GCSEs Grade C's including Maths and English and at least one Science Subject.

Desirable

• BTEC Level 3 in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.

Typical Skills Required:

• Ability to demonstrate electrical/electronic knowledge and interest in basic mechanical skills.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Ability to show a genuine interest in learning and development.
