AWE Plc currently has an exciting opportunity for an Electronics Technician to join their Engineering Trials Delivery Unit (ETDU) team. Based in RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke, this role offers a chance to develop your career within the technical community.

This instrumentation engineering position involves performing component installation, calibration, inspection of equipment, and routine maintenance activities to support operational trials at AWE and off-site locations. As an ideal candidate, you should have technical experience in using data capture hardware and software, as well as knowledge of electronics or electrical test equipment.

The successful candidate will be expected to show aptitude in fault-finding and problem-solving, with skills such as detailed soldering, crimping, wire stripping, and planning, developing, installing, and testing electronic systems.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining high levels of housekeeping within the Calibration Laboratory and Electronic areas. Working alongside team members on electronic/electrical hardware on various voltage systems is also essential.
