  • Cleanliness and Tidiness: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and tidiness in the Training Kitchens, including work surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
  • Support to Chef Lecturers: Assist Chef Lecturers with tasks in the Training Kitchens as required.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the Training Kitchens comply with current Health and Safety regulations.
  • Food Deliveries: Receive food deliveries, ensuring they meet required specifications.
  • Waste Disposal: Ensure the effective disposal of waste materials in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of orders, stock items, and the temperatures of refrigeration and freezer units.
  • Professional Development: Participate in Professional Development Planning.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with staff across the College to ensure smooth operations.
  • Development Planning: Contribute to the development planning process within the department.
  • Health and Safety Requirements: Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and College policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a hospitality or kitchen environment is preferred.
  • Health and Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards in a kitchen setting.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Good communication and collaboration skills.
