We are seeking a skilled Electronics Technician to join our team at Connect Plus Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our electronic systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Conversant with Plant Monitoring and Control Systems, including SCADA, PLCs, I/O, networking, and other related technologies.
- Responsible for the maintenance and repair of electronic and technology equipment, including CCTV, incident detection, radio rebroadcast, telephone networks, fire alarm systems, and air monitoring systems.
- Repair and maintenance of the traffic safety system on the approach to the Dartford tunnels, including sensors, barriers, and traffic signals.
- Complete daily worksheets and maintenance report sheets as required.
- Read drawings and carry out fault finding and repairs without supervision.
- Perform manual, semi-skilled, or skilled work of any type of trade description under the instructions of the Shift Manager.
- Drive vehicles as required for maintenance purposes.
- Ensure all relevant Health & Safety requirements are met and safe working practices are adopted at all times.
- Ensure routine vehicle checks and drivers' hours books are completed in accordance with company procedures.
- Attend incidents and work safely in accordance with policies to facilitate the early clear-up of hazards/incidents.
- Perform any other duties within the capacity of a Maintenance Technician as required by the Line Managers.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Confident and professional manner.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a complex matrix structure.
- Team player.
- Clear and thorough communication style.
- Observe all safety procedures and instructions.
- Recognised Electronic or Technology Qualifications or Apprenticeship.
- IT literate.
- Experience of routine maintenance and repairs to a wide range of electronics/technology equipment.
- Practical maintenance or servicing experience with a wide knowledge of computer/logic control systems.
- Fault finding using schematic drawings.
- Knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation.
- Ability to carry out installation work to current legislation/standards.
Connect Plus Services is a joint venture project with Balfour Beatty, Atkins, and Egis. We operate and maintain the M25, the busiest section of motorway in Europe. We require careful and efficient planning of work to deliver over £100m of annual investment in the highway infrastructure each year, in addition to planned and reactive maintenance activity.
