Warehouse Operative Job Description

At TPS, we're seeking a skilled Warehouse Operative to join our team. As a key member of our warehouse team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective control of inbound and outbound warehouse parts stock.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality checks on stock deliveries to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Identify and place inbound parts into the correct locations, including stock items and customer orders.
  • Pick customer orders quickly and accurately to meet dispatch deadlines.
  • Adhere to First In, First Out (FIFO) stock control management processes to maintain stock freshness and quality.
  • Maintain stock securely and in good condition, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with regular perpetual stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure faster-moving parts are located in convenient locations to improve picking efficiency.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by picking parts accurately and assembling for customer delivery runs.
  • Deal with trade customers efficiently and quickly, adhering to established business processes and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a parts or distribution operation involving inventory control, goods inwards, and order picking.
  • Passion for the automotive industry and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Proven ability to work in a small team, using own initiative, and demonstrating a positive 'can-do' attitude.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in using systems and software such as Excel.
  • Ability to record information accurately and legibly, with a methodical approach and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
