We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Junior Project Manager / Project Engineer to join our team at Carr's Engineering. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a crucial role in managing projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality targets.
About the Role:
- Direct and assess all aspects of project delivery from order receipt to completion.
- Facilitate collaboration between engineers, designers, and production teams to develop and produce projects.
- Understand technical information and quality documentation in response to customer requirements.
- Be familiar with program plans, coordinating engineering documentation and workshop activities in conjunction with the production manager.
- Manage all project phases and address concerns from all stakeholders.
- Provide leadership and set the tone for project execution.
- Provide clients with transparency throughout the project and implement EWNs and CEs where necessary.
- Support clients in navigating their technical and commercial assurance requirements.
- Visit sites to verify project progress and gather stakeholder/customer feedback.
- Work closely with the production and quality department to accurately plan the workload to achieve project schedule.
- Must be able to interpret mechanical drawings and work instructions.
- Have commercial awareness, including knowledge of NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contracts; be able to prioritize workshop loading, manage labor, and be proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
Requirements:
- Degree-level qualification in Engineering or similar.
- Project management qualification, such as Prince 2, APM, or PMI.
- Formal engineering qualification minimum level HND / HNC.
- Working experience in Industrial, Mechanical, Process Engineering, or equivalent.
