The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering digital solutions and will be confident in leading on all aspects of project delivery. They will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to confidently liaise with suppliers, service areas, and ICT colleagues to plan and deliver projects utilising a pool of ICT resources.

The ideal candidate will have experience following project management methodologies and will be able to monitor and control activities through the full project lifecycle from project kick-off to project closure. They will have the ability to analyse business processes and possess a good understanding of new and emerging technologies to support Council departments in the delivery of digital solutions.

The role requires a strong organisational and problem management skills to ensure successful project delivery and realisation of business benefits.

The successful candidate will be a positive team player and will be able to demonstrate their suitability for the role through examples of their skills, knowledge, and experience.

The key criteria for the role include:

  • Management of digital improvement projects using project management methodologies
  • Solving complex technical problems in liaison with stakeholders
  • Conducting business analysis to extract business requirements and enable implementation of fit for purpose solutions
  • Knowledge of new and emerging technologies and the value digital can bring to Council services
  • Customer focused to maintain positive relationships with service areas, suppliers, and ICT colleagues
