Head of Client Accounts Manager

Overview
As a key member of the Spicerhaart team, you will be responsible for leading the Client Accounting department in Newport.
The department is responsible for processing all financials relating to our clients (landlords and tenants) in a timely and accurate manner, as well as providing other administrative support to the overall lettings operation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a team of ten to ensure efficient workflow and daily deadlines are met.
- Supervising team members and managing workflow through the office, including bank account and card receipts, disbursement processes, and draft/final statement checking.
- Ensuring weekly deadlines are met, including bank reconciliations, non-resident landlord updates, and external insurance reporting.
- Processing and filing HMRC quarterly and annual documents on clients' behalf.
- Producing income and expenditure reports and invoicing.
- Controlling client accounting system end-of-month process, agency fee, and miscellaneous reporting.
- Month-end processing and reporting to Head Office finance team.
- Managing and reviewing various Client Accounts housekeeping/quality control reports/exception reports.
- Continuous improvement of processes to strengthen internal controls.
- Producing client accounting policies and training process documents.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to self-review.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong proficiency in using basic Microsoft packages (notably Word and Excel).
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Minimum GCSE Maths and English C or above, but higher educational levels preferable.
- Previous experience of Client Accounting essential.
- Previous experience of ARLA regulation desirable.
Eligibility:
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Legal entitlement to live and work in the UK (in accordance with the Immigration Asylum and Nationality Act 2006).
- We'll need evidence of your right to work in the UK, in the form of: Passport/Birth Certificate.
Additional Requirements:
- Proof of Address.
- National Insurance.
- Drivers Licence Check.
What's on offer:
- Basic salary between £30,000 - £35,000 per year (dependent on experience).
- Full training will be provided.
- Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm.
- Reporting to Group Finance Director.
