Job Title: Year 3/4 Primary School Teacher

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Southwark

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Primary School Teacher to join our team at a vibrant and fun primary school in Southwark. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Year 3 and 4 classes and will be part of a supportive pastoral environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses
  • Developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry
  • Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching primary school students, ideally in KS2
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team
  • A passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Good behaviour management skills, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
