Position Overview:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects, adhering to timelines and budget constraints. Your extensive knowledge and experience will be crucial in leading project teams while maintaining precise cost control and effective contract management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Quantity Surveyors and junior staff, offering guidance in all facets of quantity surveying.
  • Work closely with project managers and engineers to grasp project goals, requirements, and limitations.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for various projects concurrently.
  • Manage contract administration, including negotiations, change management, and resolution of claims.
  • Conduct risk assessments and formulate strategies to mitigate cost and contract variations.
  • Perform detailed cost analysis, tracking project financial performance and ensuring adherence to budgetary limits.
  • Review and authorize subcontractor agreements, payments, and variations.
  • Offer expert advice on procurement strategies and contract selection.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through effective communication and transparency in projects.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Significant experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction and civil engineering sector.
  • Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, or similar) is highly desirable.
  • Thorough understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management.
  • Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and precision.
