Role Overview:

The Loss Prevention team is crucial to our large-scale distribution operations. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities that are vital to our daily functions. Your primary focus will be on maintaining warehouse security at all times. Given that our facilities operate 24/7, ensuring the safety and protection of our premises, personnel, inventory, and vehicles is our utmost priority.

You will serve as the initial point of contact for staff, visitors, and contractors, while overseeing access to the site for deliveries and vehicle loads to minimize stock loss.

This multifaceted role will involve monitoring CCTV, fire, and intruder alarm systems, as well as conducting searches of individuals and vehicles to deter theft and prevent inventory loss. As a Loss Prevention Officer, you may need to manage incidents calmly and professionally, completing detailed reports and statements. You will report directly to your Loss Prevention Manager and will be responsible for effectively communicating any security risks and incidents.

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for adaptable and enthusiastic individuals to join our Loss Prevention team. While being a collaborative team member, you will possess excellent communication skills and a commitment to fostering strong working relationships with visitors, management, and colleagues.

You should demonstrate a proactive attitude and initiative in this fast-paced warehouse environment, with the ability to remain composed under pressure and when addressing potentially challenging situations involving conflict.

A minimum of GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English is required, along with proficiency in Word, Excel, and Google suites.

A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be necessary for this position, and candidates must be willing to undergo First Aid training as required.
