Job Opportunity: Lecturer in Human Heart Electrophysiology

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a lecturer in human heart electrophysiology within the Cardiovascular Division of the National Heart and Lung Institute (NHLI), Faculty of Medicine. The NHLI is at the forefront of the application of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to cardiovascular research and there is an opportunity to use electrophysiological data for more effective diagnosis and treatment of heart disease.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a research program in human heart electrophysiology and AI, with a focus on arrhythmias in cardiac disease.
  • Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses and modules in human heart electrophysiology and AI.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in research projects related to human heart electrophysiology and AI.
  • Foster national and international scientific collaborations with other world-leading centres.
  • Contribute to the management and leadership of the department.
Requirements:
  • PhD or equivalent in human heart electrophysiology.
  • Extensive experience in leading a research program at the intersection between human electrophysiology and AI.
  • Experience in tissue procurement and strategic management across multiple interdisciplinary teams.
  • Experience studying human cardiac tissue, especially whole organ and multicellular systems.
  • Experience in managing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses and modules.
