Job Summary

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior/Principal Electrical Power System Engineer to join our team on a hybrid contract basis for upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Run power system simulations of complex systems, taking ownership of power system models and studies.
  • Deliver high-quality engineering solutions for assigned projects, providing technical input into major equipment sizing and production of Power Generation & Distribution Engineering drawings/documents.
  • Advance experience using Power System modelling ETAP package, running load flows, short-circuit, transient stability, static/dynamic motor starting, harmonic analysis, arc-flash, and protection coordination studies.
  • Work scope includes reviewing/understanding project SoW, performing activities as per schedule, providing protection engineering solutions, recognizing and communicating opportunities on design process, and ensuring deliverables meet acceptable quality levels.
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Formal training of advanced ETAP Power System Modelling and Analysis would be an advantage.
  • Extensive experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering office in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Good experience with O&G facilities design is mandatory.
  • Able to prioritize workload to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Positive working attitude, able to demonstrate self-motivation and proactive approach.
  • Flexible approach to design solutions.
  • Decision-making skills.
