About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Marine Underwriter to join our team at Aviva Marine. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will play a critical role in the continued success and growth of our Marine business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement underwriting strategies to achieve business growth and profitability targets.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders to drive business growth and revenue.
  3. Ensure that all allocated business is in line with plan requirements for Marine business written and renewed.
  4. Deliver high-quality underwriting decisions that meet business objectives and minimize risk.
  5. Monitor and analyze underwriting performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
  1. Proven experience in underwriting and handling cargo and freight liability business.
  2. Strong understanding of Marine insurance products and market trends.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  4. Results-oriented and able to prioritize effectively to meet business objectives.
