About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Infrastructure Discipline, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design, build, and maintain complex systems, ensuring alignment with exacting standards.
  • Administer systems, applications, and databases based on Linux operating systems, ensuring high levels of reliability, cost-effectiveness, and organizational agility.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot IP networking systems, ensuring seamless communication and data transfer.
  • Automate system deployment, operation, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tooling, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
  • Continuously expand your skills, maintaining and enhancing relevant certifications, to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in designing, deploying, and administering Linux or Unix-based solutions, using virtualization, containerization, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps tools, techniques, and procedures.
  • Certified to RHCE equivalent level in one of the appropriate Linux certification bodies, such as GIAC, LPI, Oracle, RedHat, or The Linux Foundation.
  • Experience in designing, deploying, and troubleshooting IPv4 Networking, including subnetting, OSPF routing, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Experience in automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Puppet, or Python.
  • Experience in administering virtualized or containerized systems in VMware or Docker.
