About the Role
AECOM is seeking an experienced Ecological Consultant to join our dynamic Nature team in the UK. As an Associate Ecologist, you will play a key role in delivering groundbreaking projects that drive meaningful biodiversity gains.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of ecological inputs for internal and external clients;
- Develop and implement ecological surveys, licensing, and impact assessments;
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery;
- Contribute to the development of innovative nature-based solutions;
- Support the growth and development of our Ecology team.
Requirements
- Degree in ecology or a related field;
- Membership of a professional institution and working towards or obtained Chartered Ecologist or Chartered Environmentalist status;
- Protected species survey and/or mitigation licenses;
- Excellent knowledge of relevant wildlife legislation and policy;
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
