Construction Estimator

A leading main contractor in Dorset is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team. With over 50 years of trading history, the company has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects.

• Prepare applications to main contractors and certificates to sub-contractors.
• Obtain quotations and process orders, estimating quantities, costs, and time scales for material and labour.
• Assign work to sub-contractors and value completed work, managing budgets and overseeing payments.
• Submit regular budget reports and conduct ongoing cost analysis.
• Identify and weigh up commercial risks, ensuring projects meet legal and quality standards.
• Attend site visits and provide support to the Commercial Manager.

• Full manual driving licence.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
• RICS-approved Degree or HNC / Equivalent experience in a job.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational and project management skills.
