Van Porter Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Van Porter to join our team at JJ Freight Solutions Ltd.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the driver in delivering household goods to various locations in London and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with team members and clients per job.
  • Operate as a porter to deliver household goods with a driver, (2 man team per van)
  • Handle goods within the Warehouse and deliver with driver direct to the customers address.
  • Perform deliveries efficiently and on time is a must.
  • Deliver responsibly and adhere to office regulations
  • Assist with loading and unloading, involving heavy lifting from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a porter is advantageous but training will be given.
  • Proficient in heavy lifting techniques. (2 man per job per van)
  • 10 hour shift but could go in to overtime.
  • Day shifts.
  • Monday to Friday ( Working 2 Saturdays in 4 weeks )
  • Overtime available
  • Weekend availability
  • Work Location : Heston TW5
  • Off street parking on site
  • Tools supplied for the Job.
