Liability Underwriter Role
About the Job:
Camberford Underwriting, a key part of Brown & Brown Europe, is seeking an experienced Liability Underwriter to join their team. As a Liability Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting profitable new business, with a focus on Electrical & HVAC, and assisting brokers with the smooth running of existing policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle new business, including reviewing and analysing presentations and proposals, underwriting risks within authority levels, and issuing quotations to brokers.
- Enter risk information onto appropriate systems and negotiate with brokers to ensure smooth policy management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and insurers, and conduct prospecting activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Provide high-quality advice to brokers on Camberford Underwriting products and issue clear instructions to the Administration Team.
- Ensure compliance with Financial Conduct Authority regulations and adhere to Company and Group Compliance policies.
Requirements:
- Previous underwriting experience is required, with a preference for 1 year or more of experience in the field.
