Sheffield, Sheffield, United Kingdom BASES Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced researcher to join our team as a Research Fellow. As a key member of our Active Together team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of a large and complex cancer rehabilitation programme across Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the multi-site data collection and evaluation aspects of the service, including monitoring performance, reporting on progress, and highlighting risks or issues.
  • Develop, evaluate, and implement a groundbreaking cancer rehabilitation service across Yorkshire, working closely with NHS Trusts and their collaborative partners.
  • Review, evaluate, and synthesise the latest research on exercise oncology and behaviour change strategies for physical activity, making recommendations for data-led service change and development.
  • Contribute to other research within the university where appropriate and raise research proposals of your own related to the Active Together population.
Requirements

We are looking for a PhD-qualified researcher in a relevant field with publication and conference experience. You will have strong experience of data collection and evaluation, including the evaluation of retrospective, complex data sets, problem-solving, communication, and facilitation skills. Insight and experience of NHS services (particularly cancer services) and processes would be an advantage.

What We Offer

As a Research Fellow, you will have the opportunity to work on a pioneering multidisciplinary cancer rehabilitation service, contributing to its development, evaluation, and roll-out across the county. You will be part of a dynamic team and have access to a range of resources and support to help you succeed in your role.
