Position Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled RF Applications Testing Engineer to join our Mobile Solutions RFIC team. This role involves testing, debugging, and optimizing prototype RFIC designs to align with customer requirements while supporting the transition to production. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with our RF design team and cross-site teams to validate and deliver high-performance RF communication products for mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct RF testing on prototypes utilizing automated test systems in a research and development laboratory (e.g., EVM, load pull, ACPR).
  • Debug and enhance prototype performance through RF tuning and IC control interfaces.
  • Analyze and evaluate test results to ensure optimal performance.
  • Support the transition of designs to production, including the analysis of production test results.
  • Collaborate effectively with design and product engineers.
  • Demonstrate initiative and flexibility while working within a small team to manage a variety of tasks.
  • Modify and debug test software, configuration files, and scripts as necessary.
  • Oversee equipment calibration and maintenance to ensure accuracy.

Required Qualifications

  • A degree or BTEC Level 5 in a relevant field, along with 5+ years of applicable industry experience.
  • Proficient in using RF test equipment, including vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and load pull systems.
  • Experience in scripting and debugging with Python, LabVIEW, Visual Basic, or similar languages.
  • Ability to work methodically with meticulous record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with modern wireless communication systems such as Wi-Fi, Cellular, and Bluetooth.
  • Skilled in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting using Excel.
  • Understanding of analog and RF design principles.
