About the Role

As a Community Development Lead, you will be responsible for delivering and managing a range of interventions with our communities, building strong relationships and partnerships with voluntary and community sector organizations, and supporting the development of community-led initiatives. You will work closely with our Senior Managers to develop and implement strategic plans, and contribute to the development of new innovative solutions to societal challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement community-led initiatives to address health and wellbeing inequalities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with voluntary and community sector organizations, and other stakeholders
  • Support the development of new innovative solutions to societal challenges
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans and policies
  • Manage and deliver projects, including budgeting and monitoring

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent by experience
  • Demonstrable evidence of building strong networks and influencing partners
  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Experience of working with communities and voluntary sector organizations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Experience of service design and commissioning community interventions
  • Previous experience of community funding and grant management
  • Knowledge of public health policy and practice
